Community Efforts

Charitable giving gives our business a sense of purpose, beyond just making profits. It strengthens our connection to our community and builds morale for both LR Contracting Inc. and our employees. Even a small contribution can make a big difference to our local organizations. Here are just a few of the local community efforts our company has had the privilege to donate to.

LR Contracting Inc. and its employees have also contributed to the following local charities:

"Apartment Life is a faith-based, non-profit organization that has been serving the apartment industry since 2000. They believe every individual is created for community and that they are called to love their neighbor as their selves.

Their goal is to live this out while providing strong business value to apartment owners.

As a faith-based organization, they are committed to Fair Housing guidelines to ensure that all residents are treated fairly, equally, and consistently. All of their employees are trained in Fair Housing guidelines."

"The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future."

"SafeHouse Denver was born out of the community’s desperate need for an emergency shelter for women and children living with domestic violence.

Community professionals were working with large numbers of women on a variety of issues, and it was found that the underlying problem was actually domestic violence. However, there was no safe place for these women to go to escape the violence in their own homes. There was also no language with which to truly articulate their experiences.

Their Mission:

SafeHouse Denver assists adults, children and youth in reclaiming their right to a life free from domestic violence."

"The mission of the Denver Public Schools is to provide all students the opportunity to achieve the knowledge and skills necessary to become contributing citizens in our diverse society."

"At CAFE 180, anyone can eat, regardless of their ability to pay. Those who are unable to pay simply exchange their time and energy for a nutritious meal. Already aware of the needs of the South Broadway community in Englewood, the founders of CAFE 180 knew bringing great food would provide the “hand up” this neighborhood needed. Since we started, we’ve served more than 100,000 meals in this dignified exchange and more than 200,000 meals total!

In 2010, CAFE 180 opened its doors and began serving customers."

"Military Family Lifestyle Charitable Foundation, Inc. (MFLCF) will provide our military members and their families the dignity and respect owed them by our Nation for their commitment and selfless service in preserving the freedoms we all enjoy. MFLCF will accomplish this task by generating revenue through fundraising events and programs that help support the financial, physical, and emotional needs of military members and their families."

"Denver Rescue Mission has been serving the most vulnerable in our community for more than 128 years. Their history is rooted in a love of Christ and a commitment to share that love with others.

At multiple locations throughout our community, they help restore the lives of people experiencing homelessness and addiction through emergency services, rehabilitation, transitional programs, and community outreach."

"When families have a seriously ill child and need to seek medical care far from their own homes, they can turn to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver to find a home away from home.  At no cost. For as long as treatment takes.  More than just shelter, Ronald McDonald Houses in Denver and Aurora provide security, comfort, and care.  They are places where laughter is shared, friendships are formed, and hope is nurtured.

Whether you’re a first-time donor, long-time giver, volunteer or house guest or just learning about RMHC-Denver, they invite you to take a look at the impact they’ve made and their financial picture."

"Local to Denver - "CitySquare Denver is a one-stop shop for Denver neighbors in need. It provides bread, pastries, produce, family groceries, and homeless packs to any one who comes to its doors. While at CitySquare Denver, neighbors can share a light lunch, use the restroom, use a computer, and just rest for a while. We also offer referrals to help neighbors access health care, as well as job and housing assistance."

"Their mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters their doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.

They believe every kid has what it takes. The mission and core beliefs of Boys & Girls Clubs fuel their commitment to promoting safe, positive and inclusive environments for all. Boys & Girls Clubs of America supports all youth and teens – of every race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, ability, socio-economic status, and religion – in reaching their full potential."

Local to Denver - "It began in October, 2010.  We wanted to open a place for homeless and at-risk youth... a hot meal, friendship, a refuge.
Now, almost two years later, 5280 is FAMILY!!  A group of volunteers open the doors of 5280 several days a week...AND, if we could, it would be seven days a week!"

"LR Contracting Inc. just completed an Annual Holiday Drive with all donations benefitting the Denver Children's Home.  With donations collected from our employees, clients, and our company we were able to submit a sizeable donation the week before Christmas.

The Denver Children's Home posted on their website that it was a record breaking Holiday donation year for them!  We are proud to have contributed to such a worthy cause that helps our community and so thankful to all of those that supported our Annual Holiday Drive."

"The Denver Hospice is the region’s leading, largest and most trusted not-for-profit provider of life-enhancing hospice and palliative care. They offer more expertise, more resources and a more complete continuum of compassionate care to patients facing life-limiting illnesses and end-of-life transition."
